On September 22, 1913, Commandery #204, Knight so St. John becvame a dream come true to a nucleus of 21 men from St. Louis Parish in Buffalo, New York. Looking back on the history of the Commandery, it is unbelievable that so many memorable years have passed since the founding members have taken the motto "when 204 says yea, there must be no failure". The history of the commandery speaks for its self. Continuously active in the Diocese, Commandery #204 has received numerous awards and laurels.
Moving to St. Barnabas Parish in 1965, the commandery was consistent with its motto winning many of the Regiment's drill competitions, awards for the commandery in inspections, not to leave out or omit the bowling and golf tournament trophies.
Members are from all walks of life and have represented the commandery as officers n the Supreme Staff of the Knights of St. John International or on the Battalion or Regimental Staff of the Buffalo Grand Commandery Knights of St. John.
With the times of change, Commandery #204 moved to St. Martha in June of 2011, demonstrating "Unity through Strength". Now we are looking forward to an upcoming centennial in 2013 with service to the St. Martha Parish Community, carrying on with Faith, Hope, Charity and Fraternity into the 21st Century. The Commandery helps in church activities, fund raisers and as honor guards in Masses, 1st Communion, and Confirmation. We meet monthly here at St. Martha Parish.
